Long before the synth and beats Simon and Dallas had a different project in mind. It's just easy to get sidetracked.
The new songs, and the new sound are far removed from NA of old. But really this stuff is truer to the band's roots than anything that's come before it. And you can tell. It's raw, authentic and beautiful.

A slow motion world emerging from Melbourne punk, indie, rock and atmosphere.
Inspired by iconic rock recordings like Julie Ruin and Television as well as a long term obsession with listening to breakthrough music National Airlines started as a project of Dallas and Simon Rayner. Playing early shows with a drum machine and programmed bass the band emerged loud and brazen onto the Melbourne music scene.
There was a time when National Airlines was shiny, pink, plastic and fun. Jumped up on New Rave / Wave and Electro. An EP came out of this, simple, danceable Sweet Life.
The title track became part of MTV LA's hit serires 'Ninas Mal'.
